Hornets @ Lakers: To lose 8 games in a row and still be in the playoff race is incredible, but that’s what the Hornets are trying to overcome. A win for the Hornets would make up for New Orleans home loss they suffered recently. If the Hornets don’t win, it could spell big trouble for New Orleans/OK City. Predicted Score: New Orleans/Oklahoma City wins 97-95
Runner-up: Hawks @ Magic: It’s Dennis Scott night in Orlando. On April 16th of 10 years ago, Dennis Scott hit an NBA-record 11 threes (at least it was the record until Kobe robbed it from him) against the Hawks. Dennis now works as the radio analyst for the Hawks, so having “Dennis Scott night” vs. the Hawks was a wise choice. But why not have the game scheduled on the 16th to celebrate the 10th anniversary? Predicted Score: Orlando wins 92-88
Blowout: Knicks @ Timberwolves: The entire schedule seemed pretty close, but in the end I picked the Knicks to lose big (I know I’m not going out on much of a limb). No Channing Frye means powerhouses like Jerome James and Jackie Butler will have to defend Kevin Garnett. At what point does KG take things into his own hands and score 30+? Right here would be a good guess. Predicted Score: Minnesota wins 95-84
