Most people agree that food, water, energy and transport are the main factors in environmental effect, but perhaps they dont have knowledge about clothing. It's possible that still regular organic food-eaters might be dressed in fabrics laden with toxic chemicals. In fact, cotton is one of the major pesticide-sprayed crops in the world, and so that our clothes too will environmental effect. But currently organic cotton as well as selection of alternative fabrics like bamboo, hemp, and flax is becoming obtainable; as also trendy articles prepared from recycled resources.

Personal care
People are becoming more and more concious of the health and environment impacts of personal care products. More sustainable, eco-friendly options are been given by an increasing number of companies. Yet when you make your mind of becoming eco-friendly, less is always more - going ecological gets you one step close to Nature.

Furniture and décor
Many of people use-up significant money on furniture. Certainly purchasing hardwood from Amazon forests isn't an eco-friendly process, however one will wonder about the options. Never problem, superior furnishings made from sustainably yielded, recycled or salvaged materials are now obtainable.

Waste
Until recently, waste was the main environmental problem. If you reuse it, you were green and if you didn't, you weren't. Now with several problems on the environmental front, issues are not simple. But waste still persists to be a big issue. Every article going to trash has used energy and sources in manufacturing and shipping; more energy and sources will be used-up in processing and disposal either through recycling or landfill. The green concept of 'Reduce - Reuse - Reuse' assumes more importance. Also remember that organic waste can be composted.

Clean home
Once you've put your house in accordance with organic fabrics and toxin-free furniture, it is not essential to use chemicals to keep the house hygienic. Common household cleaning agents are laden with risky chemicals; look for green, ecological options that are evenly good in cleaning-up your house.
