Flexcrypt is once again announcing a new release of their successful encryption toolbox. The big news this time is the option to encrypt emails according to the OpenPGP standard. This will make Flexcrypt an attractive option for established PGP users

Stockholm 20090525
Flexcrypt is announcing the release of a new version of their successful encryption application. New feature in this release is the option to encrypt emails using the OpenPGP standard.
"By adding Open PGP as encryption-type, we will be able to accommodate the PGP-community with an attractive solution. Flexcrypt easy-to-use interface makes PGP available for all computer users". Says Andreas Nilsson CEO of Flexcrypt.

OpenPGP is an open standard of the popular email encryption standard PGP, originally developed by Phil Zimmerman in 1991. Instead of passwords, PGP builds on the usage of public/private keys. An example; Bill uses PGP, anyone can use Bills public key to encrypt emails to Bill. Bill has a private key that he uses for decryption. This architecture is called Public Key Infrastructure (PKI).
"OpenPGP gives Flexcrypt users a wider range of encryption options; choose the .ZIP encryption for some receivers, and use Open PGP for others. Computer skills vary a lot, but electronic security and integrity should always remain" says Andreas Nilsson.

With this addition, the Flexcrypt software is now able to encrypt emails in three different formats; PKZIP, AESZIP and Open PGP. In addition, Flexcrypt can encrypt Instant messages, Texts and Files/folders.

Flexcrypt can be downloaded for free at flexcrypt.comas well as on several trusted software download sites.
