Abatement Cleanup Combing Swarm Strategies

Have you ever watched a child comb their hair and considered how each column does its job and in three or four strokes their hair is in perfect place? Well, is it possible to use combing strategies with unmanned robotic autonomous vehicles in environmental cleanup and abatement procedures on an area that has biological contaminants or severe pollution issues?

Thinking now on the problem at New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina and the incredible pollution, which was left in the groundwater, in swimming pools and puddles, which still remains in the city. Human cleanup crews do not make much sense because there are so many mosquitoes and god only knows what kinds of viruses they are carrying. Meanwhile, the bacteria counts are through the roof.

By using unmanned autonomous ground vehicles, which are fully robotic and setting them in motion using a swarm combing strategy it may be possible for these robotic units to communicate with all the others and equally space themselves apart while they work their pollution abatement magic and cleanup the eco-disaster in what very well should be a Superfund site. We need better robotic strategies and abatement cleanup protocol to deal with natural disasters of this magnitude in the future. Consider this in 2006.
